Removal of redundant pole, Castlegrange

“To ask the Chief Executive can the unused pole at the entrance to Castlegrange,
beside the traffic lights, be removed and not have an unneeded sign placed on
it?”

 

Reply:
This pole will be removed by the end of April.

“To ask the Chief Executive to explore options for street lighting on Bell’s Lane in
Swords within the overall plan to develop Swords Rivervalley Park?”

 

Reply:
A request for public lighting on Bell’s Lane Swords will be considered in the
context of preparation of the draft street lighting Works Programme for 2019.

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive to confirm that a 3 ton limit for vehicles is in place for
the road linking the Glen Ellan Road and the Broadmeadow linear park and can
the Chief Executive outline what enforcement mechanisms are in place?”

 

Reply:
There is presently no 3 ton restriction in place on the road linking the Glen Ellan
Road and the Broadmeadow linear park.
Enforcement of such restrictions where they are in place is a matter for the
Gardaí.

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive report on what upgrades have taken place since 2006
to the electrical network in Donabate, to outline what engagements have taken
place with the ESB in relation to upgrade works and to make a comment on the
capacity of the current electrical network to cope with increased housing
demand.”

 

Reply:
If the question is passed the terms contained therein shall be conveyed to ESB
Networks Ireland and when a response is received the Area Committee shall be
informed.

Question: Councillor D. Smith:
“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the status of the
nature reserve park in the Corballis lands which formed part of the
Local area Plan for Donabate, including the purchasing of the land for
the park?”

 

Reply:
It is planned to provide this parkland in tandem with the development
management process for the Local Area Plan. A condition for the
planning permission for the associated residential developments will be
the provision and development of this Nature Reserve Park as is the case
for Planning Permission Reg. Ref. F17A/0113.

Question :Councillor D. Smith
To ask the Chief Executive can options be explored to develop the lane
behind Lambeecher, Balbriggan, known locally as Bell’s Lane, into a
proper laneway access to the Astro Football pitches and to allow correct
parking?

 

Reply:
The future use of Bell’s Lane will be included in the Consultant’s Brief for
the Landscape Master Plan for Bremore Regional Park. This brief for this
plan is nearing completion and it is expected that this design work will be
tendered in the coming months.
