News

May 10, 2018 by Duncan Smith

Question Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive has building stopped on the latest phase of
Knocksedan Estate in Swords and if there are any planning reasons for
this?”

Reply:
There is extant permission for development in Knocksedan under
planning ref no. F06A/0347/E2 which granted an extension of duration to
carry out works up to December 2021. At the time of writing there is no
known planning reason as to why works may have ceased.

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the works which have taken place on
the green space behind Castlefarm between Broadmeadows, Mooretown and
Pine Grove Park Estate in terms of cutting back overgrown vegetation over the
past six months?”

Reply:
Two shrubberies on the green space behind Castlefarm and Broadmeadows
were totally removed as they were considered to be the focal point for anti social
behaviour in the area. A further shrubbery has been cut back to increase
visibility in order to deter youths from congregating and causing nuisance to
passers-by.
