Question: Councillor D. Smith – Taking in Charge.

“To ask the Chief Executive can the taking in charge of of the small
area in front of (details supplied) be taken in charge as residents in
both houses a have given their express permission for this to take
place?”

Reply:
The Council took into charge the public road and footpath of Hampton
Green (outlined in yellow below).
The original planning permission F99A/0454, shows that House numbers
70 and 71 each had their own individual driveways leading directly from
the public road and apron at the hammerhead. These driveways are the
homeowners land and it is not intended to be taken in charge by the
Council.

Question: Councillor D. Smith

“To ask the Chief Executive if any money has been allocated towards the
refurbishment of Skerries Harbour, If so how much has been allocated, exactly
what works will be carried out and can the Chief Executive give a timeline of
when these works will take place?”

Reply:
No specific amount has been allocated in respect of Skerries Harbour nor indeed
has any specific list of works been identified apart from the annual ongoing
maintenance.
An application has been submitted to the FLAG group for funding towards
commissioning a report on a number of aspects relating to the 4 harbours under
the control of the Council including an “audit” of existing facilities and
identification of deficiencies in facilities. A list of works was recently submitted
on behalf of the fishermen and these will also be considered. It is expected that
the report will be available in Q3 of 2018. In the meantime general maintenance
work will continue.

Motion: Councillor D. Smith
“That measures are put in place to stop parking on the green space in Oaklands
Avenue.”

Report:
Consideration will be given to what potential solutions there might be for this
problem. Illegal parking on a footpath is a matter for the Gardaí and should be
reported to them. This open space is quite large and is surrounded on two sides
by a footpath, placing bollards on the path edge or on the open space would not
be very attractive for residents. The Council would consider any practical
suggestions.
