Question: Councillor D. Smith

“To ask the Chief Executive to undertake a re-lining of the Glen Ellan Road in particular at the important junction with the Balheary Road, up to the bottle bank, as the lining has faded away?”

Reply:

The relining of the Glen Ellan Road, Swords will be listed for consideration in the 2016 Lining Programme.

Bride's GlenFollowing on from representations I have made and a question I placed to the Area Committee today; Fingal County Council has agreed to replace the broken name plates at the entrance to Bride’s Glen and Bunbury Gate.

The Council’s full response reads “Arrangements have been made for the erecting of standard name plates at the entrance to the estates referred to in the question”.

I look forward to work being carried out on foot of this commitment.

Congrats to Empire in Swords for winning the Sky Bar “Leinster Bar of the Year”. Empire has been a great addition to Swords Main St since it opened in the site of the old Slaughtered Lamb, bringing much needed life and activity to that end of Main St.

The Saturday Evening Herald covered my upcoming Motion to the local Labour organisation calling for the Labour Party not to enter into any formal pre-election pacts with any other Party or Grouping. We need to stand on what we have been able to deliver in Government and our own distinct set of principles and values .
