Reply: Arrangements have been made for the repair of the estate signage at the location referred to in the question.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive to arrange a road signplate, for Abbeylea Court, Swords as it is the only road in Abbeylea without one?”

Reply: It appears that the question relates to Abbeylea Close and arrangements have been made for the erection of a name plate.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive can the tree outside 3 St Cronan’s Close, Swords be examined with a view to removing it and can the raised path caused by this tree be repaired?”

Reply: The tree at the location referred to in the question was recently removed.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive to extend the double yellow lines along both sides of Chapel View from Scrum Diddly’s down as far as St Patrick’s Terrace?”

Reply: There are double yellow lines on the southern verge of New Road in Donabate from Scrum Didleys to the entrance to The Strand housing estate. The placement of double yellow lines on the northern verge as far as the entrance to The Strand will be completed as part of the 2016 Signing and Lining programme.

Question: Councillor D. Smith: “To ask the Chief Executive can a children’s at play sign be provided at Glen Ellan Green facing down the hill and turning left onto Glen Ellan Pines at the earliest possible convenience?”

Reply: A ‘Children at Play’ sign is in place at the entrance to Glen Ellan Estate, Swords and it is not considered appropriate to provide additional ‘Children at Play’ signage for individual roads on the estate or for exiting the estate.

Question: Councillor D. Smith –  “To ask the Chief Executive to examine the recycling facility on the Glen Ellan Road, outside St Colmcille’s GAA Club and comment on its suitability as a site for such a facility given litter, traffic and safety concerns?”

Reply: The bring bank on the Glen Ellan Road adjacent to St. Colmcille’s GAA Club accommodates usage by residents of the Glen Ellen and Applewood residential area and occasional users of the GAA Club, amongst others, and is therefore a well-used facility. Having liaised with the Operations Department, the Waste Management Section is not aware of any specific issue regarding this site. If the Councillor is aware of any specific issues, the Waste Management Section would be happy to investigate further.
