Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive could the graffiti be removed on the metal bridge which crosses the river in Balheary Park?”

Reply: Arrangements will be made to have this graffiti listed for removal.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive could metal/steel nets be fixed to the basketball hoops in Balheary Park as these are more durable and resistant to vandalism?”

Reply: The Operations Department will make enquiries from suppliers of such products to ascertain if such nets can be procured. If they exist their suitability from a safety point of view will need to be assessed.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive for an update on taking in charge of street lighting in Boroimhe Alder, Beech and Hazel?”

Reply: The civil/electrical works necessary to transfer existing metered lighting supplies to unmetered have been completed and application has been made to ESB for 18 No. new connections. Based on current work schedules it could take from up to 8 weeks for these connections to be made live. Once verified by inspection, Fingal County Council will assume responsibility for the payment of the energy charges associated with the transferred lighting

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive to examine the two raised ramps in Applewood Village, one opposite the Coolers Off Licence and one opposite Dora’s chipper and could the Chief Executive confirm that these ramps comply with all statutory provisions for ramps including in terms of height, size and width?”

Reply: Applewood opposite Coolers off licence and Dora’s chipper is not in the charge of Fingal County Council. An assessment of the 2 raised ramps in Applewood will be carried out as part of the taking in charge process.

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive to assess the pedestrian traffic lights at the junction of the fire station/Castlgrange/Balheary Road in order to ensure all the lights and pedestrian buttons are working correctly?”

Reply: The traffic signals were inspected recently and repairs have been carried out.
