Warning Lights on the M1 at the Coolock/Santry exit

March 9, 2017 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive to install flashing lights on the pedestrian warning
signs on the slip road off the M1 at the Coolock/Santry exit and to install flashing
pedestrian lights at the top of the on ramp/slip road onto the M1 at the
Coolock/Santry exit as there is no dedicated pedestrian crossing across this
interchange between Santry and Coolock and local residents crossing over these
two slip roads need better protection from cars using the two slip roads?”

Reply:
Consideration will be given to installing flashing lights and pedestrian warning
signs on the slip road off the M1 at the Coolock/Santry exit and to install flashing
pedestrian lights at the top of the on ramp/slip road onto the M1 at the
Coolock/Santry exit, if funding can be identified for these works.
