Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive have replacement trees been planted at Castlegrange Heights on the boundary with the open space as agreed at a previous area committee meeting?”
Reply: Planting was installed along the boundary with the Balheary Road a couple of winters ago as this area was highlighted as the priority for tree planting to provide screening from the busy road. A small number of these trees have failed and will be replaced this winter. Provision will be made to plant additional trees along the open space boundary as part of this winter’s tree planting programme.
