Speed Detectors – Rathbeale Road

January 12, 2016 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive to provide speed readers on the Rathbeale Road after the triangle on Bridge St?”

Reply: There are traffic signals at the junction of Rathbeale Road and Watery Lane, 85m from the western end of the triangle and also at the junction of Main Street and Bridge Street approximately 150m to the east of the triangle. Signalised junctions are a form of traffic calming that requires traffic to reduce speed in the area. The provision of a speed reader on the Rathbeale Road after the triangle on Bridge St would not be considered a priority.
