Recycling facility Glen Ellan Road

February 12, 2016 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith –  “To ask the Chief Executive to examine the recycling facility on the Glen Ellan Road, outside St Colmcille’s GAA Club and comment on its suitability as a site for such a facility given litter, traffic and safety concerns?”

Reply: The bring bank on the Glen Ellan Road adjacent to St. Colmcille’s GAA Club accommodates usage by residents of the Glen Ellen and Applewood residential area and occasional users of the GAA Club, amongst others, and is therefore a well-used facility. Having liaised with the Operations Department, the Waste Management Section is not aware of any specific issue regarding this site. If the Councillor is aware of any specific issues, the Waste Management Section would be happy to investigate further.
