L2050 – Swords Manor – Knocksedan Capacity

March 9, 2017 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith – L2050.
“To ask the Chief Executive what are the long term plans for the L2050
between Swords Manor and Knocksedan Cross as the road is very
narrow for the amount of heavy goods vehicles which travel on it and
how do these plans relate to the planned Swords Western Distributor
Road?”

Reply:
The L2050 road links Brackenstown with Knocksedan. The area in
question is likely to be served in the future with a Road Network enabling
access between the Rathbeale Road and the R108. This will allow heavy
goods vehicles traverse the area by an alternative route reducing the
difficulties encountered at present on the L2050
