“To ask the Chief Executive if any plans are in place to improve cycle lane
infrastructure on Turvey Avenue and the Hearse Road?”

 

Reply:
As noted in the Greater Dublin Area Cycle Network Plan by the NTA and
the Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023, the provision of a commuter
route from Lissenhall along Hearse Road to Donabate is an objective.
However, the provision of this route does not form part of the current
Capital Works Programme. Pending progress on the Donabate Distributor
Road, this scheme may be included in the 2019/2020 Capital Works
Programme should funding become available.

There is no provision in the Greater Dublin Area Cycle Network Plan by the
NTA or the Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023 for the provision of a
commuter route from the R132 along Turvey Avenue to Donabate. There
are no plans at present for provision of same.
