Broadmeadow Linear Park Works

March 9, 2017 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive what works are due to take place in Broadmeadow
Linear Park in 2017?”

Reply:
There is a long standing Development Plan objective of providing a path and
cycle lane along the Broadmeadow River which will connect to the coastal
walkway via the Swords Estuary. This will depend on a strategic plan to include
lands further upstream. Provision has been made in local budgets to begin the
process of providing a system of secondary circulatory paths. The Operations
Department will liaise with the Parks and Green Infrastructure Division over the
next few months to ensure any proposed layout of locally installed paths will
complement the longer term objectives and in no way impede future plans.
