“That this Committee agrees a work plan to install a pedestrian crossing beyond
the Y Junction of Brackenstown Road and Church Road to include the shifting of
the path on the Brackenstown Road leading up to this junction to the other side
of the road (as per details supplied)”

Report:
As discussed at the February Area Committee meeting, consideration is being
given to how pedestrians could be encouraged to cross to the church side of the
road before reaching the Y junction. This will be achieved by a series of footpath
markings to direct users to a safer crossing point beyond the Y junction.
