Applegreen North Street Exit

December 8, 2016 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive can signage or other methods be put in place at the exit from the Applegreen Garage on North Street as the layout needs to differentiate the pedestrian path on North St for the safety of pedestrians?”

Reply: This is a vehicular entrance across a pedestrian footpath to a private premises. The responsibility is for vehicle users to yield to pedestrians on the footpath and in this regard any signage or lining is a matter for the property owner to erect on the private property. The concerns raised in the question will be conveyed to the management of the premises
