Railing Painting

March 9, 2017 by Duncan Smith

Question: Councillor D. Smith
“To ask the Chief Executive to put in place a multi year strategy to treat and
repaint flaked and damaged railings in our public open spaces?”

Reply:
The Council does not have the resources to undertake the substantial
commitment referred to in the question. Works of this nature are normally
carried out by Residents Associations, Tidy Towns and other local Community
groups. The Operations Department will, on request, assist any such groups in
both an advisory capacity and in the provision of paint, brushes and other
materials required.
