Question: Councillor D. Smith “To ask the Chief Executive can provision for a new bin for Balheary Park be included in the estimates for 2017 and can such a bin be placed at the back of the park near the gap behind the industrial estate, in order to combat littering at this site, particularly dog litter?”
Reply: The area referred to was inspected and it is considered to be a dangerous location for the provision of a litter bin as there is no safe place to park a vehicle to collect the bin waste. The nearest safe location for a bin is at the swing gate entrance to Balheary Park, adjacent to Swords Business Campus and a litter bin was installed there in December 2016.
